I noticed that your documentation transform had been R&D'd from the titanium project at DSTC (something they seemed very happy to discover).
They've released an update to the transform that you may want to include in your next build. I'd do it myself except I don't to go looking for your additions (the images).

FYI, here's the announcement they sent me:
New Feature: Use of XHTML tags in documentation
There is a new version of xs3p (version 1.1), which provides a simple, but useful feature. XHTML tags can now be used inside 'documentation' elements to format their contents.
Previously, all XML tags in the documentation and application data of an annotation were escaped, such that they are displayed in the screen. This behaviour is maintained for application data. However, XHTML tags in 'documentation' elements are now copied to the document, rather than escaped.
Note: The namespace, "http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml", must be declared in the schema document, e.g. xmlns:html="...", and the XHTML tags must have the prefix specified in the namespace declaration.

Thank you to let us know.
We already working to integrate the new release. We are also try to make
customizations easy to do.
In the next major version stylus will dynamically read the stylesheet
parameters and expose them to the user.
