I've just tried validating a schema that contains the declaration:
>import namespace="http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace" schemaLocation="http://www.w3.org/2001/03/xml.xsd"/<
And I get an Error dialog with the following error:
"Parsing error in [temp file name]: Cannot open http://www.w3.org/2001/03/xml.xsd ..."
When I open up this file it includes a very clear statement to use the above import to enable xml:base, xml:lang or xml:space attributes on elements.
Hi Lee,
I cannot reproduce the error. I wrote a simple XML Schema (attached to this message) and when I validated it, it validated fine.
Can you post (or send to my e-mail) the schema you are having problems with?

Lee,
did you try opening http://www.w3.org/2001/03/xml.xsd from a web browser
or from Stylus? If you can open it from Stylus, then we will need to
investigate elsewhere; if you can't, are you running behind a proxy server?
If I try opening it in Stylus I get 'the path ... is not valid'. I'm pretty sure I'm running behind a Proxy Server although none of my local internet settings say so. Is there any way in particular I should try opening this file from within Stylus?

We have had a couple of reports in the past about Stylus Studio having
issues when working with Proxy servers; we have been unable to pin-point
the cause.
We are sending you a couple of tests to run so that we can understand
what's going on on your machine.
I loaded up the replacement dll - to no apparent effect.
The little test executable returned the following:
Opening http://www.w3.org/2001/03/xml.xsd
Web site found, sending request
Return code = 407
Status Text = Proxy Authentication Required
Which probably explains a lot.
I'll see if I can find out some more info about our proxy (like what we're using for starters).
Are there any details like ports, IP addresses, etc. that we can look at directly?
