Hi Experts,

I am getting the below error while executing the XML file using shell script.

[java] [Fatal Error] Test.xml:33:428: The reference to entity "PERIOD" must end with the ';' delimiter.
[java] org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The reference to entity "PERIOD" must end with the ';' delimiter.

[java] A password is required.

-----------------------------------------------

I have encrypted my xml with the password.

but again it is asking for passowrd...

-------------------------------------------
The 33rd line in XML is here...and i need to pass the period as variable.

<DIMENSION DISABLED="0" HIDDEN="0" NAME="Period">
<METADATAEXPRESSION VALUE="<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<COMPOSITEOPERATION TYPE="MemberQuery"><OPERATION TYPE="Select"><MULTIVALUE><STRING>Name</STRING></MULTIVALUE><STRING>Period</STRING></OPERATION><COMPOSITEOPERATION TYPE="Filter"><OPERATION TYPE="Member"><STRING>Feb</STRING><STRING>Period</STRING></OPERATION></COMPOSITEOPERATION></COMPOSITEOPERATION>"/>

Thanks

Sama,

The error you are reporting is an XML parser error.

You have a character entity which is missing the closing semicolon (;)

The XML you have posted is well formed, see image attached, I do not believe this is the cause of the error or you did not post the correct XML.

You are trying to encode an XML document as string into an attribute This is a bad design, so change approach if you can.

As final remark, this is the "Stylus Studio Developer Network" so please tell us which Stylus Studio version are you running?
