I have an xml and xsl that I want to modify. I want to use SS but I'm not sure it will work for this. I am attaching the files and want to know if I can use SS to modify the xsl and be able to see it via a window to view the pdf output

I have no problem in running your this stylesheet as soon as remove the comment for following include

<xsl:include href="PStringTable.xsl"/>

The output of this transformation is HTML not PDF.

Did you set the source XML in the scenario dialog?

Click on the toolbar button "..." than set the source XML URL

What you are showing is a DTD XML definition which can be embedded in the prolog of the XML document, this is perfectly legal.

so you are saying that the program that produced this xml also added the dtd? So if I want to add variables to xml then i need to change the dtd so it can be embeded?

You need to edit the XSLT (PDetails.xsl) in order to change the resulting HTML.

XML --> [XSLT] --> HTML

What exactly you need to change in the HTML output?
If you are really specific in your description we might help.

I need to add 1 variable so that I can use it in a table I am going to add to the xsl. The table is 3 rows and 2 columns that contain derived data from the run like @productName and how its referred. I don't know where to do this so that its available for the report. Do I add it in the DTD? If so I'm not sure how this would work - dont undrstand DTD. Can you advise?
