SS Build BL1987g.

Tools -> Options -> Java Virtual Machine.
JRE Version has "Stylus Studio JRE" setting and it is disabled for modification.

Help -> About shows:
1.8.0_91 Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM Oracle Corporation
debug mode port:8000

We currently have JRE version "1.8.0_102" installed on the dev. machines to match our server Java run-time environment. We would like to run SS with that Java version.

C:\Windows>java -version

java version "1.8.0_102"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_102-b14)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.102-b14, mixed mode)

IMHO, it is a good idea to allow to modify the JRE Version value.

You have two options:



1) Close Stylus Studio and Rename "c:\Program Files\Stylus Studio X16 XML Enterprise Suite 64-bit\bin\jre" jre.HIDE

Start Stylus Studio, Go to Tools-> Options -> Java Virtual Machine and pick from the list of installed JRE.

2) Close Stylus Studio and overwrite the Stylus Studio JRE with your.

Both will need to be re-done every time you install a Stylus Studio update.

We no longer want to deal with support cases where the user is hunting for Java so we took the safer approach.
