Clarice OgburnSubject: XML Pipeline
Author: Clarice Ogburn

Our Company is fairly new to DataDirect and Stylus Studio. We are currently working on an implementation from flatfile to X12. In this implementation, there will be situations where specific maps or translations would need to be called based on certain submitters. Would you use the XML pipeline to manage which maps/translations to call or the flow for when certain maps need to be called?

Other than on the Stylus Studio website, I didn't see any reference material on this in the JAVA XML converter user guide.
Please advise on best practices for this.

Thanks,
Clarice

Clarice,

You company is licensed for XML Converters For Java which means that you will need to implement the logic in your Java application.

You can generate Java code from XML Pipeline but you will need to wire it to your Java application.

Stylus Studio XML Pipelines became more powerful when couple with our deployment platform XML Pipeline Server more at www.xmlpipelineserver.com.

XML Pipeline Server allows to define end points (File, FTP, Email, HTTP) which trigger pipeline execution when new data arrives.
