I am evaluating Stylus Studio and can't seem to find a way to check the syntax of my XSL file. The help says it does it automatically, but when I load a file with a known syntax error, it does nothing. I don't see a button to check it either. Both XML Spy and Oxygen have this feature, of automatically checking syntax upon loading the file, and both have buttons to check whether the file is valid or well formed. Can someone point me to this feature? Thanks.

Apart from syntax coloring, a full check on well formed-ness and validity of XSLT is not done at loading time, but only at execution time.
Being XSLT equivalent to a programming language, we thought it would have been distracting to expose that information to the user at all times (my C++/Java editors are equally discrete in letting me know about syntax errors; I may well be in the middle of some development...)
But I can see your point, and having the possibility to provide constant feedback about the validity of your XSLT is something that could help, especially inexperienced users; we'll consider that for future enhancements.

It would be useful to have these checked first, because it is quicker to clean them up prior to running a debug process and would save a lot of time and effort.
