Please can somebody help?
I have downloaded the evaluation version of Stylus Studio and I am try to set-up a proof-of-concept project with the view of eventually purchasing the product if successfull.
Basically I am trying to convert a text (fixed-format) file to XML.
Each line in the text field is 218 characters in length including the CR/LF delimiters. The first line contains header (summary information) and the remaining lines contain individual (detail) lines.
When I first created the project I defined the first region as fixed-length and started a second region on the second row also fixed length.
So far so good. When I run a conversion I see the XML output with two regions the first containing the first row as an element and the subsequent rows as elements of the second region.
But when I save and subsequently reload the project I find that all the rows are merged into one region. Worst still the environment crashes complaining that the regions mustn't overlap. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.
How can I define the first row as being in one region and the rest of the rows in the second region?

I contrived an example to send you but that appeared to work as intended.
The layout is similar to the original data I want to work with, but the file I created was much smaller in size. (180 characters per line instead of 418).
I can send an example of the original data but would prefer not to do this publicly.
