Stylus 2.0 on Windows 2000 says:
COM API - License prohibits this action,
when I try to open an xln:*.{xml|xsl} file.
Do I only have an evaluation license?
What must I tell my boss that he can get
the appropriate license?
Per Kistler.
PS: I should produce a test www site with
eXcelon 2.1

I ran into the same problem. Maybe it's related to the developer edition. The documentation says
"The developer edition of eXcelon is limited to six concurrent sessions for each cache. However, Java can delay
the release of a session object until it performs garbage collection. If you receive a license error when you try to
obtain a session, manually invoke the garbage collector before you try to obtain a session again."
As I am running Java server extensions, this could be the reason for this error message if the number of licenses has been reached. So it's not directly related to Stylus. I had the same problem (with similar error messages ) with other eXcelon tools too.

Thanks for the explanation.
Would the Enterprise version be a better
choice, then? I thought the developer version
would be the better one, at least for
developing.
(I'm too new to eXcelon, to force it to do
garbage collection:-(
