I'm having trouble open a wsdl file into the webservice browser.
The error: WSDLOperation: The operation DeleteRecord is defined as document/encoded. This is unsupported HRESULT=0x80004005

Looks like Stylus isn't up to it.. but I've had problems with this wsdl using other tools
as well (GLUE) and wonder the authors are using an obtuse formulation for their webservice.

Is there a statement somewhere about which wsdl schema features are supported by Stylus??

Jon,

Web Service Call Composer supports the following encodings

- document/literal

- rpc/encoded (with encodingStyle set to
"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/")

- rpc/literal

If the WSDL file sets style="document" and use="literal", and both
the
input and output messages specify a single <part> element with
name="parameters", then, each of the individual parameters of the
function should be defined as a separate element in the schema under the
element reference for this <part>.

We will make sure that the documentation indicates this.

Hope this helps
Ivan

Looks like Stylus just can't handle it then. Just in
case, have a quick look at this wsdl to see if it makes
sense to you.

Thanks
Jon

Ivan,

You know.. I thought that was a problem.. I suspect
the vendor of the webservice has not done any testing. :-(

Drat.

Thanks for your help.
