I keep getting a NoSuchMethod error when running Java extensions. I have tried your example and put the directory the .class file is in in the classpath and it still does not work, what is happening?
Also is there a 'standard' way of extending XPATH with functions that will work with you processor and XALAN and Saxon and ...

Hi Martin,
NoSuchMethod error means that Stylus did find the class but didn't find
the method definition.
You should check if you have multiple classes with the same name in the
class path.
Double check that the source is in sync with the binary.
There is not standard extension mechanism in XPath/XSLT 1.0. There will
be in XPath/XSLT 2.0
Xalan, Saxon, XT, Stylus support java extension. Even if java
extensions are vendor specific there is a common syntax that you can use
across all of them. The IntDate example is conformed to this syntax.
