The problem with this is that it makes editing very slow. In Epic, the tree behaves just like the main editing window, in that I can move around with the cursor from context to context using the keyboard and just type--SS's tree view doesn't have this level of convenience. Note that I am typically editing prose documents (sections and paragraphs), rather than data-holding documents, so my requirements for editing are probably different than for many of the SS use cases. I also realize that y'all aren't positioning SS as a document editor. Nevertheless, it works well as one and could potentially replace my use of Epic as my main XML document editor if the tree editing was as smooth as it is in Epic.
I understand this sort of behavior is probably quite a challenge to implement, but I wanted to at least register my request.
