Yes, thanks for the mention of SketchPath. A 5MB file is, as you say, pushing SketchPath to its limit. However, following on from SketchPath, I've released a new (payware) product, CoherentWeb[1], that loads larger XML files roughly 20 times faster (you would though need Vista/Windows7 to achieve the performance benefit). As well as auto-generating the XPath and a built-in XPath tracer/debugger, CoherentWeb also provides a visual environment for the multi-threaded batch XSLT-processing of a collection of Excel/XML files. Excel 2007/2010 (or Word/Powerpoint) can be hosted within the GUI, to allow you to review the files you're processing alongside the output in an integrated way. CoherentWeb has no integrated XSLT editing capability itself, but is instead designed to complement the processing/analysis capabilties of existing editors.
