The modern reincarnation of JSP is the Design Recipe.
Spending time thinking about a problem, it's data structures
and any relevant algorithms before diving in and writing
code. What a novel concept.
If only they had called it Thought Driven Design it might
just have caught on.
I'd recommend FBP (
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/flow-based-programming)
to all folks interested in data structure/data flow approaches,
especially pipelines.
FBP is attracting an interesting degree of buzz at present.
