This is somewhat of a moot point because X12 EDI is already the mandated
format for healthcare transactions. Kennedy-Kassebaum was passed in 1996,
the transaction set just was finalized, and implementation is not mandated
until October 2002. Hence it is unlikely that this format will get changed
in the near future. XML was not even in the running given its relative
immaturity and I assume SGML because of its paucity of use in the current
transactions scene (just my guess).

fact hence I'm working on an X12 grove (using XSet).

    But I do agree that ISO submission of XML would be a Good Thing.
