Hi Ivan,
Thanks for your response. I had typoed the namespace name in my report. The document that I was trying to open had it spelled correctly. I'm guessing that the w3c was just taking a very long time to respond, or was completely down. I was just able to load the schema in a web browser - today, it took about 30 seconds for the web browser to get a response from w3c.org. But trying to validate a schema that uses that namespace basically hangs Stylus Studio for several minutes, and when it finally times out, I get 50 errors like this one (at various line in the schema):
"http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#:115,78: non-whitespace characters are not allowed in schema declarations other than appinfo and documentation
Too many errors: validation canceled"
So it looks to as though the fetch is failing and returning "line noise" after it times out.
Another problem is that SS seems to be attempting to validate namespaces as I type them. So every few keystrokes, SS hangs for another few minutes.
So questions:
1. Is there some way to configure SS to not attempt to validate while I am typing?
2. Is there some way to shorten the timeout so that I can get control of the app back sooner?
3. Would I be better off just using local copies of all referenced schemas, and adding "import namespace" lines to my schemas to get them to validate locally?
Thanks Again,
