I've noticed that it's not possible to rename a file inside the "Open file" dialog by pressing F2.
You can still rename, by clicking the filename twice, you just have to wait long enough, so that doubleclick is not triggered.

If the dialog is not to be changed soon to be the native "Open file(s)" dialog in windows, I would recommend implementing at least the same features and shortcuts, so that it works more intuitively.

I hope that you will consider this enhancement to the "Open file" dialog.
