After loading a trial version of "Stylus Studio 2008 XML Enterprise Suite", I am unable to create a new (or open an existing within the examples project) "XQUERY file". I receive error:
"FATAL ERROR in native method: JDWP No transports initialized, jvmtiError=AGENT_ERROR_TRANSPORT_INIT(197).
I have no problems when creating new (xml, xsd, dtd, etc.) files. Just with XQUERY. I have tested both the JDK 1.5.0_14 and 1.6.0_03. Set Tools --> Options --> General --> Java Virtual Machine and ran the "auto detect" on each JDK respectively to no avail.
It appears to be a JVM setting (or perhaps need an additional Java software package), but I'm unable to locate any "help" documentation on resolving this particular error.

I tried changing to port 8888, but still received the same error for both JDK 1.5.0_14 and 1.6.0_3. Changing the ports led me to check my McAfee Firewall settings for "Trusted Programs". Stylus Studio had outbound access, but I had uninstalled, re-installed the application so the Firewall rule appeared to be correct, but was actually blocking because the reference was linked to the "uninstalled" version.
Fix: Deleted the Firewall rule and re-ran Stylus Studio, which prompted for "Allow trusted program?". This created a new firewall rule and the application worked with both JDK 1.5.0_14 and 1.6.0_03.
If anyone else runs into JVM errors, be aware of your Firewall rules that get automatically created (especially, when uninstalling/re-installing applications).
