I have Stylus Studio installed on Windows XP, SP2.
Using Control Panel-> Add or Remove Programs-> Stylus Studio Change/Remove-> "Do You wish to Uninstall" -> Yes
results in the InstallShield Wizard -> Not Responding

I have the same problem and I also get the error message "An error occured while launching setup. Cannot execute RPC".
Is there someone who knows what I can do about this?

That can only mean that for some reason the InstallShield uninstall information/package got corrupted.
What Stylus Studio version/release number have you installed? We need that information to provide manual instructions about how to uninstall the product.

I'm sorry I reply this late. I tried every step you said and it worked fine but when I right-click on an xml or xsl file it still says "edit with stylus studio". When I say "open with" and there I choose another program and I click "always open this type of file with this program" it doesn"t help. But when I ask the properties of these files the "open with" label does mention the correct program. Is there anything else I can do to change this?

Hi Jolien,
you can manually remove the 'Edit with ...' entries by editing the registry key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.xml and changing the (Default) value from stylusstudiofile.xml to xmlfile (that should be still there, as the '.bak' value)
