xmlplayer xmlplayerSubject: How to sort this XML?

I have got a standing question as following. Could anybody provide a solution? Thanks in advance.

An xml file needs to sorted by "Item@i" through XSLT. Need to consider paging, eg. each page has 3 entries. In the sequence of pages, all the item must be sorted in the ascending or descending order.

<Items id="3">
<Item i="C"/>
<Item i="D"/>
<Item i="F"/>
<Item i="K"/>
<Items id="1">
<Item i="E"/>
<Item i="G"/>
<Item i="A"/>
<Items id="2">
<Item i="H"/>
<Item i="B"/>

A good place to ask general XSLT questions like this
is the xsl-list. See http://www.stylusstudio/xsllist
where we point you to the instructions to join and ask.
