I'm working in an evaluation copy of Stylus Studio. I've created a report with five columns. Unfortunately when I try to preview the report or save it, it just hangs. The XML file is a little big (82MB), but I would expect this product should be able to handle it.
Since I've never used the product before, any suggestion on where to start troubleshooting?

Are you running Stylus Studio 32 or 64 bit?
82 MB file is not too large to process but might generate e very large output, depending on the report logic.
The XML Publisher preview processor is not designed to scale on large documents. It may be possible that Publisher is taking a long time to process the report.
How long have you waited?
Can you see Stylus Studio process (struzzo.exe) CPU activities in Windows Task Manager while the preview is running? CPU and Memory should fluctuate.
After the computation is completed Publisher attempts to load the result in the Preview Window which hosts Internet Explorer. if the file is above a certain size, Stylus Studio should prompt a warning.
One possibility is designing the report using a smaller input document with the same element structure then generate XSLT/XQuery to test with the larger documents.

Thanks for the reply. I'm using the 64bit version. I do see Struzzo.exe running on task manager while trying to preview the report. I've trimmed the file down to 100 records and it is still hanging after 10 minutes of waiting. Maybe the file is too complex for Stylus Studio's report tool? The data source explorer renders the elements so that I can drop them in a report though.

Thanks for taking a look at my issue. Unfortunately the data and format are proprietary. So I can't send them to your support area. As a work around I was able to coerce the data into Excel which is not pretty, but seems good enough for our purposes.
