I have a home edition of stylus studion 2008 XML home build 1050g which I use only for very simple editing. I was horrrified yesterday to find that in simple editing mode the program randomly repalces valid characteres with non-printable one.
I opened an xml file -- selected a tree view, selected a child line and used the "move up" feature to move that line up a few spaces. when I then opened the xml file for is original use it reported the file as corrupted, so I selected the text view and sure enough there were 5 or 10 places inthe file where a valid ascii charachter had been replaced by a nonprinting chracter. The corruption was not even very near the correction that I had made. I was so suprized that I rechecked the original file to make sure.
I am appalled --
PS -- I also noted that several simple features that had been in a previious cversion were now non functional -- notabley copy and paste in tree view.

Hi Victor,
we would be very interested in having a test case from you; could you find out a sequence of operations that trigger the corruption? Would you mind sharing the original file with us (if you need to do it privately, send it to stylus-field-report@progress.com)
As for copy & paste, nothing was changed between v2007 and v2008; could you double check and isolate a specific place of the sample file that doesn't allow copy & paste?
