I've developed my stylesheets in Stylus Studio using the Saxon XSLT 2.0 processor. These work fine transforming my test data within Stylus Studio.

When I run the transformation using Saxon from the command line I get the error message "Invalid byte 1 of 1-byte UTF-8 sequence".

I know why I get the error - some of my data has got £ (British pound)signs.

Why does it work in SS and not Saxon when SS is using Saxon?

SS is build 501i and I'm using the Saxon8.jar from the SS bin directory from the command line.

Furthermore, what should I be doing to eliminate the problem?

Thanks,

Paul Cunningham

Hi Paul

Would be possible to have a small sample of your XML document that includes the offending character?

Thank You
