Subject:XQuery Mapper - "Copy Node" is not listed in the shortcut menu Author:Klarinda GW Date:10 Apr 2006 12:12 AM
Hi,
I just downloaded Stylus Studio Professional Edition 2006 Release 2 (trial).
In the documentation and video of XQuery Mapper, it is said that:
"To use a source document node to create a new node on the target structure, drag and drop the source element using the right mouse button and select one of the following operations from the shortcut menu:
- Add Attribute and Map It
- Add Child Element and Map It
- Insert Element After and Map It
- Copy Node"
But when i do that, the "Copy Node" is not listed in the shortcut menu. The shortcut menu only list the following items:
- Create Default Link
- Create Value Link
- Create Repeatable Link
- Create Repeatable Value Link
- Create Copy Link
- Create Root Element and Map It
- Add Attribute and Map It
- Add Child Element and Map It
- Insert Element After and Map It
Please tell me how to get the "Copy Node" appear in the shortcut menu (otherwise I need to modify the XQuery manually)
Hi,
There is another problem: the "Create Copy Link" option is not available.
For example, in the video "Advanced XQuery Mapper Features", "Copy Node" option is available when dragging with right mouse button from source to target document. But when I followed the example myself, the "Create Copy Link" is not available (it is greyed and can't be clicked)
Regards,
Klarinda

Being a copy link, you can copy a node only to a target node with the same name; in your case, you can copy the "title" element only to another "title" element - as the copy of <title> will create a "title" element in the target.
