Hi,
I'm trying Stylus Studio, and our main use for it would be to translate CARGOIMP messages into XML.
Most of the messages we are in need to work with can be handled with little adjustments by Stylus Studio 2010, however I can't find a way to make the adjustments we need. The options for adding and modifying definitions are not available for CARGOIMP, however I can find these options for EDIFACT or X12 definitions for instance.
Anything I'm missing here?

It is true that the EDI to XML editor will not allow you to make changes to the CARGOIMP definitions (it will allow codelist changes though).
This is because the .sef file syntax is not suitable for defining CARGOIMP definitions.
Can you let us know what specific changes you need to make?
Thanks

Thanks for the fast reply.
Actually we need quite a few, but for instance, we should be able to handle FHL/2 messages. The definition is almost the same but, for example, on the HBS segment, the element SLAC (714) is not available on that definition.
This form is correct for FHL/3:
HBS/AEI12345678/SINJFK/1/K400/4/COMPUTER PARTS
But incorrect for FHL/2 where the right form would be:
HBS/AEI12345678/SINJFK/1/K400/COMPUTER PARTS
Stylus Studio is unable to retrieve the element 708 (Nature of goods) for FHL/2

Absolutely Clyde.
Actually we are trying some different approaches with some in-house solutions as my client needs are somehow urgent, however, if you need a beta-tester for any new development on this subject, I'm completely available as it seems I'm back to the Cargo Imp scenario. I think I want to invest some of my time on this area again.
Thanks.
PS: I replied directly to your last e-mail. Didn't you receive it?
Hello,
I'm very interested in Stylus Studio. In the past months I could manage my demands using some solutions I developed myself but being able to use Stylus Studio would make my work incredible easier, however having a flexible way of changing CARGO schemas is a must. Do you have any plans of having this feature in the product in a near future?
