When I import a WSDL file for a Web Service that I've been using, I don't see the name/value pair for several required parameters. I've used this WSDL in another tool and get prompted for the parameters. I haven't been able to determine if this is a parsing error or an option that I need to set in SS. I am new to SS.

The WSDL was created with AXIS 1.2.1

Can you attach here or email (stylus-field-report@progress.com) the WSDL you are using?

Are you using Java2WSDL to generate the WSDL file?

Is there any particular reason to use soapenc:string instead of xsd:string?

This was actually created by a vendor. I'm not sure what they used.
