Subject:How do I use the Custom XML Conversion files in Java Author:vishal sinha Date:10 Oct 2007 09:56 AM
Problem with these new tools are they seem to be made for individuals who do there work manually.
At least the tutorials and help files go that way. The ynever tell you exactly the most important part of applications about deploying it and how to automot the jobs.
They think that people are out sitting there spending time in converting one by one each csv file to XML.
We need practical applications with good help files which explains you how XML pipelines could be developed and deployed and automated.
It is of very little use if I have to manually open a CSV file in Jazzy XML stylus studio and covert it to XML then save it it and then what do I do with this XML file??? Just be happy that it is no more in CSV but XML???

Hi,
in the web page of that tutorial there is a box "Watch the entire Data Integration tutorial series!"; the last link, "Deploying your application" brings you to http://www.stylusstudio.com/videos/deployment1/deployment1.html, where you can see how the conversion you just designed can be used as part of a Java application. Please remember that the XML Converters need a specific license to be used outside the Stylus Studio IDE (see http://www.stylusstudio.com/deployment/faq.html).
