If I use an XML document with an attribute in the root element as the source when creating a XSLT stylesheet then the attributes of the root element are copied into the xsl:stylesheet element of the stylesheet. Since the internal processor does not appear to worry about these attributes, it is difficult to know when they are copied, as we often do not notice them until the stylesheet is used with a different processor.
This is occurring on framework 3.1 build 069.

Hi, Neil,
I guess you are talking about using mapper to create stylesheet. What
you described here was a bug and was fixed in our recent build. I
encourage you to download the latest version and give it a try...
Hope this help
Song.

That's because we don't advertise minor "sub-builds" as new versions, to
avoid noise generated by the application notification mechanism, which is a
bit intrusive in 3.1; that's going to change in 4.0.
So, if you are running any BL69 sub-build, the application will tell you
are running the latest version; but the latest sub-build is BL69j, and
quite a few fixes have been added since BL69a...
I would suggest that you check the exact version you are running from the
Help|About dialog; if it is anything lower than BL69j just download and
install the latest package from http://www.stylusstudio.com/update
