Your uncertainty indicates that it isn't clear enough to be maintained
easily, and i'd want to avoid it.

Part of the XSLT 3 course i have run is the concept i call bthe
rhetoric of XSLTbba consideration of who will be reading the code can
help to determine how bmathsb you can make it.
