Several Balisage attendees have expressed anxiety about the mechanics of
attending a virtual conference. How should they connect? How does the
conference portal work? Will they be able to hear the speakers? Will the
slides be visible? When they ask questions, will we be able to hear them?
Without feedback squeal?

To answer these questions, and to extend the summer markup-geekery, there will
be 4 "pre-conference Tech-Testing and Social Hour" sessions. Each will include
a short presentation or two with opportunities for Q&A and participant
interaction. These sessions are for participants to check out the portal,
their technology, and connectivity; to get familiar with getting into Balisage
sessions, and asking questions. This is the time to address any technology
problems.
