Re: Use of a prefix in the error()'s QName
Well, it depends what you do with the error when you catch it. If you want to display the error code in prefix:local-name form, then it might be useful to have a user-friendly prefix.

Hi,

What is the benefit of using a prefix in the QName in error(), for example:

error(QName('http://www.example.com/', 'err:reason')

vs

error(QName('http://www.example.com/', 'reason')

Seems redundant?
