The simplified source file you posted was not well formed, also your email contained several xsl:template elements that were not contained in side xsl:stylesheet, please put some effort into running what you are about to post locally, seeing what (if anything) comes out and saying _exactly_ what's wrong with it.

If I take the part of your email between <xsl:stylesheet and </xsl:stylesheet> as a stylesheet, fix your input file so it is well formed and run then through as xslt 1 processor I get

which is what I'd expect as you are just applying templates to all "dagboek/entry" elements.
