I really do want to use them, but, as described earlier in this thread
if I do use them the following piece of text:

Financial Times, "ErdoDan Grubu'na"

gets output as:

 <meta name="description"
           content='Financial Times, &#34;ErdoDan Grubu'na&#34;'
           />

using Saxon 9. This rendering breaks IE6.
