My first job in 1999 involved working with some software from a company
called iMediation, called iChannel, which used WD-XSL in its
presentation layer. I was a junior web developer at the time (learning
on-the-job, as I didn't do a relevant degree at university) and I had to
basically figure out how the presentation layer worked through trial,
error and destruction :-)

After that, I moved to a company using XSLT1.0 in 2001, and have moved
on through to XSLT2.0 & XSL-FO in 2006.

My favourite resources have always been Michael Kay's books; Dave Pawson
& Jenni Tennison's sites; and this list!
