Can it be done with XSLT 1.0? Well with XSLT 1.0 without using exsl:node-set or similar, if you want to process the result of one template with a second template, you need to chain two stylesheets. If you use XSLT 1.0 with exsl:node-set, then you can transform to a result tree fragment, use exsl:node-set to convert the result tree fragment to a node-set and apply templates to that. With XSLT 2.0 you do no need an extension function. -- Martin Honnen http://JavaScript.FAQTs.com/
