I'm sure there are many people who could tell you things that you don't know
about Xalan extension functions. But the information isn't going to help you
unless it happens to coincide with the information that you are lacking. You
don't say with enough detail what you are trying to do or what difficulty
you are having in doing it. Try either to pose a specific question, or at
least to explain what you are trying to do and where you are getting stuck.

Incidentally, your link suggests that you are interested in Xalan-C, whereas
many people are likely to assume that an unqualified reference to Xalan
means Xalan-J.
