Oh thanks Michael. I was also thinking of same that such function must be
introduced in 2.0. 

Apologies for creating confusion, Entity quest is off course defined in my
current DTD.

Use the XPath 2.0 ends-with() function.

PS: the string "[#x0003F]" might mean "question mark" to you, but that's a
private convention. It doesn't mean that to the rest of us, and it's likely
to confuse everybody if you assume that everyone understands the meaning of
your data.
