You can use it with XSLT 2.0 and xsl:result-document (<URL:http://www.w3.org/TR/xslt20/#creating-result-trees>) or with XSLT 1.0 and an extension to construct multiple result documents. On the other hand it is not difficult to solve the task in a streaming way for instance with APIs like XmlReader and XmlWriter in .NET.
