<xsl:output method="html" indent="yes" doctype-public="-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" doctype-system="http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd" omit-xml-declaration="yes" encoding="iso-8859-1"/> That's an inconsistent request (although not an xslt error) Do you want to generate HTML or XHTML? If you are generating html you should use an HTML DTD (not an XHTML one) and conversely if you are generating XHTML you need to specify method="xml" not method="html" otherwise HTML syntax will be generated (which will be a syntax error for an X(HT)ML aware browser like firefox.)
