Hello there!

I have following case:
In an xsl file I define a xsl:param as
<xsl:param name="copyright">Copyright © 2002-2006 ...</xsl-param>

somewhere later in another xsl importing the first one I do

<fo:block text-align="center">
    <xsl:value-of select="$copyright"/>
</fo:block>

the resulting output shows:

<fo:block text-align="center">Copyright © 2002-2006 ...</fo:block>

and there is the problem for fop transformation:

SAXParseException: The entity "copy" was referenced, but not declared.

why does xslt (Xalan and Saxon tested) transform © to © and how do I avoid that?

Kind regards,
Kai
