Hi Bryan,

Hi,

I'm going to want to port a small stylesheet based framework I have to
the Mac, for initial work I am just going to want to be run it from
the command line or a simple script executable by a user clicking on
it. I am thinking the processor I probably will want to use will be
Saxon.

So how to run Saxon or other processors from command line in MAC OS X?

Running Saxon from the command line fairly simple. The full syntax is shown here: http://www.saxonica.com/documentation/index/gettingstarted/gettingstartedjava.html

Assuming that a compatible JDK is already installed.

Any particular things to be wary of for processors used in Mac (memory
problems, slow start up times, processor crashes mac makes funny
noises?, document function gotchas might be a particular thing to
worry about?)

I've tried Saxonica on Windows XP and it has been great so far, it also provides many command line options.

Also there's a dedicated mailing list for specific question
https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/saxon-help

I realize in some ways this is also mainly a Mac question, but
initially I will be trying just to keep within the XSL-T processing
domain in the Mac so as to make the pain of moving easier.

Cheers,
Bryan Rasmussen
