As far as Saxon is concerned, they are identical. One may give slighly
faster Java loading than the other, but in a transformation of any size the
difference will be irrelevant. If you're at all concerned about the
performance of the transformation, you shouldn't be using the command line
at all, you should be using the Java API, or some other mechanism (e.g.
Kernow, Ant) that keeps the Java VM loaded.
