Re: What is a better word for "de-duplication"?

Its a tough one, especially since you probably need a very technical
name. I would prefer 'identity consolidation' before 'factorisation'
(cognitive load on the second is higher to me).

From memory, in mathematics taking one element from each class of
equivalence is called factorisation using this specific equivalence
relation.

So, we may call it "identity factorisation" -- can somebody offer
something better?
