It's relatively unusual to make substantive changes in specifications
this late in the W3C Process, but everyone involved felt it was an
improvement:

The types xdt:anyAtomicType, xdt:yearMonthDuration, xdt:dayTimeDuration,
xdt:untyped, and xdt:untypedAtomic will all be moved into the
W3C XML Schema namespace (with the kind permission of the W3C XML
Schema Working Group) and will therefore become xs:anyAtomicType,
xs:yearMonthDuration, xs:dayTimeDuration xs:untyped, and xs:untypedAtomic.
