Learning XSLT: which version?

Subject: Learning XSLT: which version?

I've recently begun learning XSLT, putting it to use in my revisions
(not yet posted publicly) to my web site.

I've got the O'Reilly book and I've really found it a help (along with
a lot of trial-and-error), as this is the first time I've tried to
work seriously with XML.

In the course of my reading, I've realised that version 2.0 is
available, which obviously wasn't in 2001 when my book was published.
(And to think I paid full price. *sigh*)

My question: Am I best to: (a) continue to learn 1.0, and then (when
I've mastered it sufficiently), learn to work with 2.0, (b) continue
to learn 1.0 and simply use it (ignoring the new version), or (c) try
to get up to speed on version 2.0 as quickly as possible?

Obviously a question of opinion...what's yours?

Scott
