becase msxsl defaults to validating mode if you have a <!DOCTYPE and
your DTD only declares the entity error and doesn't declare all teh
elements and attributes) You can tell msxml not to validate if you call
it from script but I don't know anything about Stylus Studio 

Can't you use xsl:include rather than an external entity here?
