Charles, you were on the right track with the idea of trying to be more specific about a node by using a related node; however, use "parent" rather than "ancestor". Search the archives for this list (http://www.biglist.com/lists/xsl-list/archives/) for "group;parent;concat". Here's a start: http://www.biglist.com/lists/xsl-list/archives/200011/msg00594.html
