may as well leave them as params then the user has the option of
changing them by importing into another stylesheet (which would also work
for variables) which is good if you want to make a lot of changes and
always make the same changes, or they can change odd ones on the command
line or API call, if it's a one-off change.

But these variables are completely different beasties to the ones you
showed earlier.
