Maria,

Your namespace declaration isn't quite right yet. For the node-set()
function you need not xmlns:exsl="http://exslt.org/exsl" but rather
"http://exslt.org/common".

The overall mechanism is explained at http://www.exslt.org/howto.html.

The particular namespace for this function is named on the page
http://www.exslt.org/exsl/index.html (the top-level page for the "common" 
functions, which include node-set()).

You shouldn't need to add any module stylesheets for this function. Once the
namespace declaration is correct, Xalan should do the rest.
