xsl remove cr
Hi,
Since the newlines are inlined in the text and you are using an
extension function urldecoder.decode to convert them to newlines, it is
possible not possible to say if the processor is the culprit in this case.

The actual newline character used is different on different systems like
"CRLF" on windows and "CR" on unix etc. Which one (CR or CRLF) is used in
the output depends on which one appears most in your document. It could be
that your decode function is passing the input it receives as is after
conversion or adding the extra newlines by itself. Either way, DC's
recommendation that you check your decode function to fix this issue seems
to be the right way to go at this time.

Cheers,

that is a good idea.

does this issue of extra newlines occur only with xalan or do other
transformers exhibit the same behavior. is this in the spec?
